The notch method is 3 cuts and it is just as felled. This took forever to accomplish. I'm not impressed.

It would have been so quicker and even more safe if he used one pulley, secured it to a nearest tree in the direction of falling, tied it to a tree and just pulled. But why simple method if you can go with complicate one.
